and, being released during Alberta's 2005 Centennial celebration, there
is no better time to showcase the wealth and breadth of talent the province
has to offer.

to R&B to bluegrass to world music, this disc holds 16 songs that will
captivate, entertain and leave you wanting more.
These artists are considered the crème de la crème of their genre and
have won songwriting competitions, festivals and have appeared on the

IndependentClauses.com says "there are some nuggets of goodness on
this album... Hillbilly Dusts blue-grass tinged acoustic-based
songs are highlights, as well as Judith Lams forlorn Prairie
Skies. All of the songs on this comp would be perfect for radio."
You can read it all here.
"The Heart of Alberta" is charting at #6 on Thunder Bay's CILU 102.7 FM Folk/Roots/Blues charts. (May 06)
The artists of Alberta, as they appear on the "On
the Verge" and "The Heart of Alberta" compilations, are featured
in the Artist Spotlight of US-based loudorange.com.
This is what they had to say "this month instead of featuring
an individual artist, we decided to lay our focus on one the best Indie
scenes out there right now, Alberta Canada. Both [compilations] give
an incredible sample of some of the most talented bands in Canada today."
