Inner Surge's unique blend of aggressive styling and thought-provoking message makes them the exception to the rule. The groundbreaking "Signals Screaming", is an 11 track assault on human rights abuses and the end of the international "blind eye". The message is proof that Inner Surge believes people can provoke change, and that there is still time to do so.

Included on this release is "Retribution Song" which is being featured on the Cabras movie soundtrack.

"Retribution Song" is #4 on the All-Time Top 10 metal charts on the Podsafe Music Network.

Our friends at Sock Puppets From Hell Podcast has posted a feature article about Inner Surge summarizing the various news, accolades and reviews surrounding the band lately. You can read it all here.

JensMetalPage says Inner Surge "have a pretty good sound to them, not muddy, drums are clear and the vocals are not overpowered by the music." Steve Moore has "soft almost singing type of vocals, then just explodes in their choruses."

Inner Surge's Steve Moore and Bryan Sandau were recently interviewed by Trendcrusher e-Zine. You can read the full transcript here.

"Signals Screaming" was rated an 8 out of 10 by MetalNetRadio.com.

Inner Surge was recently interviewed by TheSportsCritics.com. You can check out the "e-nterview" here.

Absolute Underground newspaper says that Signals Screaming is "a mishmash of heavy rock, punk, hardcore, and rock. All in all they are different and not pigeon holed into one genre and that's something refreshing."

Reviewer Magazine says that Signals Screaming is "a hell of a heavy metal juggernaut that grabs you by the throat at the beginning and takes you away on a rockin’ metal journey beyond the fires of Hell."

Metal Core Fan Zine says "I was ready to dismiss this as another one of those groove metal bands, but this band has so much more to offer. Sure there is some groove to it, but the music is so emotional and the vocal sucked me in and I really began to get into this. The music will set you on a rollercoaster ride of metal and melody not to be missed." You can find the review here.

BallBusterMusic.com calls Signals Screaming "a rollercoaster ride of musical emotion. Damn, this is an interesting release. It's sure to shake up your metal collection if you can figure out where to put it. It goes from one extreme to another and back again...it's amazing. It's got a great sound, excellent musicianship and it's well worth checking out, especially if you're in the mood for something different."

Alternative Nation says "Inner Surge are certainly a lot more interesting than any similar British act I’ve ever heard, with a fire in their bellies that carries ragers like The Outcome off of the plastic and into your skull where it beats your brain repeatedly again the bone of your head space. A big thrashing racket with genuinely thoughtful lyrics about the modern world—an unexpected treat."

CanadaNoise.com says "Signals Screaming promises to be an essential contribution to Canadian metal this year, the impact of its message and aggressive style being sure to turn heads. Inner Surge’s music is a voice that screams out to be heard, and a voice I would recommend listening to."

East Coast Romper says "This wholly intense metal offering is in an ever-changing process of gritty anger, jazzy street beats, deep grooves and vocal experimentations. Unlike many bands of this fabric, they didn’t inject a screaming vocal as a way to increase the angst level either. Instead, the gravely vocals accentuated the anxiety ridden vibe of the music and helped to compress everything into a consumable, yet edgy aural onslaught. This was by far one of the better releases to hit the streets in 2006."

Mike Bell of The Calgary Sun speaks with Steve Moore about Inner Surge, Signals Screaming and politics in general.

Beatroute's Chris Andrade speaks with Steve Moore of Inner Surge in its April 2006 issue.

Full Frontal Recordings says Signals Screaming "is a top release from this Canadian Metal band. They´re a socially aware band and this comes across in the lyrics though they aren´t predictable. Production wise this is well wicked and packing is tops too. Inner Surge are one of the best bands that are doing the rounds in Canada."

The Calgary Herald's Heath McCoy says "there is much on the horizon for Inner Surge" in his 31 March 2006 interview with Steve Moore.

FFWD Weekly says "pushing the boundaries and taking the fine art of headbanging to a higher artistic plane...is a testament to Inner Surge’s collective determination to end the "blind eye" syndrome that afflicts our privileged society. Signals Screaming delivers a genre-smashing one-two punch that carries over brilliantly to Inner Surge’s dynamic live performances."

Music News Weekly is doing a 3 part installment of Inner Surge. Part 1 focuses on the band itself, its origins and motivation. Part 2 features a review of Signals Screaming. And finally, Part 3 covers Inner Surge's live show at the CD release party including photographs taken of the show.

Steve Moore of Inner Surge was interviewed live on epidsode #46 of the Altanta-based podcast, "The New Music Lab." Also premiering on the show were tracks from their upcoming Signals Screaming. You can replay the show here.

BackstageWinnipeg.com calls Signals Screaming "modern day metal with an alternative metal edge in eleven tracks that will blow you away. Their style is quite different, yet satisfyingly familiar." Inner Surge is "great musicianship that will leave listeners intrigued, and ultimately satisfied." Check out the review here.

IndependentClauses.com says "Political rockers Inner Surge have put out yet another hard hitting political rock album.... Signals Screaming puts out great music where it counts and will earn Inner Surge quite a bit of recognition well outside their home country of Canada." Check out the full review here.

Running With Scissors Magazine calls Signals Screaming "a disc full of superb music, which will both captivate the listener and bludgeon him with intense, well written audio assaults. Possibly among one of the best exports that Canada has to offer." You can read the full review here.

Martin McNeilly says "Inner Surge is one of the hardest working bands I know, and Signals Screaming is a huge statement. It is saying that Inner Surge is here, and they are here to stay." Read the full review here.

SoundStreet believes that Signals Screaming will "undoubtedly reach top Canadian music charts from coast to coast " and we couldn't agree more. Read the full review here.
