Russ Graham of KILLER DWARFS Joins MOXY as Lead Singer!

Toronto, ON - November 8, 2008 -- In a surprise and brilliant turn of events, Russ Graham has joined MOXY as lead singer. Known for his inexplicable, incomparable and slightly insane stage antics as lead sing of the 80s metal band KILLER DWARFS, this is a combination that needs to be seen to be believed!

MOXY's founder and guitarist Earl Johnson says "I've admired Russ' work for years and have always felt he would be a good fit with the band. Russ is breathing new life into the band and taking MOXY in a new direction with renewed energy and enthusiasm."

Russ hit the stage with MOXY for the first time, headlining the Javelina Harley Davidson KZEP Bike Giveaway on November 22nd, 2008 in Boerne, Texas. The band makes their debut return to Canada, playing the Whitby Wing Shack on December 13th, 2008.

About Moxy:
There is perhaps no bigger legend in the history of Canadian hard rock than Toronto's MOXY. One can still hear the roar of vocalist Buzz Shearman, twenty years after a motorcycle accident tragically ended his life just north of Canada's biggest city. By fate or by chance, Texas has become the band's biggest market. To this day, Texas radio still samples from the band's four classic albums, three with Buzz Shearman, and one with a young Mike Reno, who would go on to major fame with LOVERBOY.

The current line up consists of original guitarist and principle songwriter Earl Johnson, Kim Hunt on drums and Jim Samson on bass guitar, known in the Toronto area as the best rhythm section since appearing in ZON thirty years ago. And now, in the latest chapter of Moxy history, in steps one of Canada's most notorious vocalists, Russ Graham from KILLER DWARFS. With this incredible combination of talent, we now have what could be called a Canadian 70's Super Band.

About Russ Graham:
As co-founder of KILLER DWARFS in 1981, Russ Graham quickly gained international success, first in Canada with the self-titled debut album in 1983. The break-through in the United States came when San Antonio based radio personality Joe Anthony started spinning their album on a regular basis, much to the delight of hard rocking Texans. This planted the seeds for what would result in KILLER DWARFS receiving a lot of attention south of Canada's border.

A worldwide recording contract with Epic Records eventually landed them an opening spot for IRON MAIDEN's sold out tour of Great Britain and sharing stages with such acts as DIO and MICHAEL SCHENKER across North America. The band soon received a nomination for Canada's prestigious Juno Award as "Heavy Metal Album of The Year".

KILLER DWARFS came to an end in 1995 save for a reunion tour in 2001. Putting a period on the world of the KILLER DWARFS, they decided to pursue their own independent efforts. Since then Russ has been working with two bands, his own "RUSS DWARF AND THE MONGOLS" and a yet to be named band of Canadian veterans from bands MOXY, SANTERS and LEE AARON. He is currently recording with both these projects.
