There is perhaps no bigger legend in the history of Canadian hard
rock than Toronto's Moxy. One can still hear the roar of vocalist Buzz
Shearman, twenty years after a motorcycle accident tragically ended
his life just north of Canada's biggest city. After Buzz's death, a
young Mike Rynoski took the mic and would go on to major fame as Mike
Reno of Loverboy.
Dubbed Canada's Led Zeppelin, with over thirty years of delivering a blistering, explosive live experience, the current line-up consists of original guitarist and principle songwriter
Earl Johnson, Kim Hunt on drums and Jim Samson on bass guitar, known
in the Toronto area as the best rhythm section for the better part of
thirty years having started in Zon back in the seventies. And now, in the
latest chapter of Moxy history, in steps one of Canada's most energetic and quirky vocalists,
Russ Graham from Killer Dwarfs. With this incredible combination
of talent, we now have what could truly be called a Canadian 70's Super
Band.
